About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Industrial Process Engineer to join their manufacturing operations in Sheffield . This role is focused on the design, development, and optimization of production processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and output. You will play a key role in implementing innovative engineering solutions, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring the smooth and cost-effective operation of their manufacturing facilities, contributing significantly to their market position.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, throughput, and cost reduction.
- Design, implement, and validate new production processes and equipment to meet quality and performance targets.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for all manufacturing processes.
- Utilize data analysis and statistical tools to monitor process performance and identify root causes of issues.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve technical problems and implement corrective actions.
- Lead projects focused on the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles and other continuous improvement methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in process engineering or industrial engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing , Six Sigma, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Proficiency in CAD software and process simulation tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
