Industrial Process Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive Industrial Process Specialist to enhance operational effectiveness within their facility in Portsmouth . This role involves the in-depth analysis, design, and optimization of industrial processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high-quality standards. You will work closely with production teams to implement lean methodologies, identify areas for improvement, and drive sustainable process changes. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for continuous improvement in an industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and map existing industrial processes to identify inefficiencies, waste, and opportunities for enhancement.
• Design and implement optimized workflows and procedures using lean manufacturing principles and best practices.
• Develop and deploy tools for process monitoring, data collection, and performance analysis.
• Collaborate with operations, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption of process improvements.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on new processes, tools, and methodologies to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Document processes, create standard operating procedures (SOPs), and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in an industrial engineering or process improvement role.
• Proven experience with lean manufacturing techniques (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis and statistical software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Familiarity with project management principles and experience in implementing process changes.
