Information Security Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant Information Security Analyst to join their team in Reading . This role is dedicated to monitoring security systems, responding to alerts, and supporting the overall security operations of the organization. You will play a key role in identifying and mitigating security threats, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our client's data and systems. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and possesses a strong desire to protect digital assets within a collaborative IT environment located in Reading .

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security dashboards and alerts for potential threats and anomalies.
• Investigate security incidents, collect evidence, and assist in containment and eradication efforts.
• Perform regular log analysis and vulnerability scanning to identify potential risks.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security tools and technologies.
• Support the development and updating of security policies and procedures.
• Provide technical support for security-related issues to end-users and IT staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in an information security role or relevant IT support position.
• Familiarity with SIEM tools, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions.
• Understanding of common cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
