Information Security Architect

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and strategic Information Security Architect to design and implement secure systems and infrastructure in Reading . This pivotal role involves developing the blueprint for the organization's security defenses, ensuring that security is integrated into all aspects of IT operations and business processes. You will work closely with senior leadership, IT teams, and business units to create resilient security architectures that protect against current and future threats. This is an on-site position ideal for an architect with a visionary approach to cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure enterprise-wide security architectures and roadmaps.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions to address emerging threats.
• Develop security standards, guidelines, and best practices for the organization.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure security requirements are met throughout the system development lifecycle.
• Provide expert technical guidance on security architecture principles and secure design patterns.
• Conduct security reviews and risk assessments of proposed IT solutions.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in information security, with a focus on security architecture and design.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud security , network security, application security, and data protection.
• Proven ability to design and implement complex security solutions.
• Experience with security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
• Strong understanding of threat modeling and risk assessment methodologies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
