About the Role
Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Information Security Architect to join their fully remote team. This pivotal role involves designing, building, and overseeing the implementation of secure IT systems and infrastructure that protect the organisation from evolving cyber threats. You will be responsible for defining the security roadmap, setting architectural standards, and ensuring that security is embedded into the fabric of all technology initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect secure, scalable, and resilient IT solutions and infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain enterprise-wide information security architecture standards, guidelines, and principles.
- Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions to address emerging threats and business needs.
- Collaborate with IT operations, development teams, and business units to ensure security requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead security reviews for proposed IT projects and system changes, identifying potential risks and mitigation strategies.
- Develop and maintain security architecture documentation, including diagrams, policies, and standards.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in an Information Security Architect role or a senior-level security engineering position with architectural responsibilities.
- In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, best practices, and threat modeling.
- Proficiency in designing security for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), networks, and applications.
- Strong understanding of cryptography, identity and access management (IAM), and data security principles.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant advanced certifications such as CISSP-ISSAP, SABSA, or TOGAF are highly desirable.
