Information Security Architect

About the Role

Our client is looking for a strategic and technically adept Information Security Architect to join their team in Manchester . In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the security architecture that underpins the company's entire IT infrastructure. You will translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and resilient security solutions, ensuring protection against evolving cyber threats. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient security architectures across on-premises and cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
• Develop and maintain security standards, patterns, and blueprints for various technology stacks and solutions.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions to enhance the organization's security posture.
• Collaborate closely with infrastructure, application development, and operations teams to integrate security into all stages of the technology lifecycle.
• Provide expert technical guidance on security architecture principles, threat modeling, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Lead security design reviews and ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices for cybersecurity .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in information security, with a significant focus on security architecture and design.
• Proven experience designing and implementing security solutions for complex enterprise environments, including cloud platforms.
• Deep understanding of network security, application security, data security, identity and access management (IAM), and cryptography.
• Proficiency in security architecture frameworks, threat modeling techniques, and risk assessment methodologies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
