About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Information Security Consultant to provide expert guidance and support to their operations in Belfast . This role focuses on assessing existing security measures, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing best-practice solutions to enhance the organization's defense against cyber threats. You will work closely with various departments to understand their security needs and deliver tailored recommendations and strategic plans. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of the current threat landscape, contributing to robust security frameworks and policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough security audits and gap analyses against industry standards and best practices.
• Develop and present comprehensive security strategy recommendations and roadmaps.
• Advise on the implementation of security controls and technologies to mitigate identified risks.
• Assist in the development and refinement of security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Support incident response planning and execution, offering expert insights.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure security alignment with organizational objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
• Extensive experience (5+ years) in information security consulting or a senior security advisory role.
• Proven expertise in risk assessment, vulnerability management, and security architecture.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST CSF, SOC 2).
• Excellent client-facing and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are highly advantageous.
