About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Information Security Consultant to provide expert advice and solutions to various business units from their Belfast office. This role involves assessing security risks, developing strategic recommendations, and assisting in the implementation of security improvements. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments and gap analyses for various systems and processes.

• Advise on best practices for data protection, privacy, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS).
• Assist in the selection, design, and implementation of security technologies and controls.
• Provide expert support during security incident investigations and remediation efforts.
• Stay current with emerging security threats and technologies, offering proactive guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
• Significant experience (6+ years) in information security, with a strong focus on consulting or advisory roles.
• Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management methodologies, and compliance standards.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Experience in performing security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CISA are highly preferred.
