Information Security Consultant

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Information Security Consultant to join their advisory services team in Cambridge . In this client-facing role, you will assess security risks, develop strategic recommendations, and help organisations implement robust security frameworks. You will work with a diverse range of clients, providing expert guidance on cybersecurity best practices, compliance, and risk management. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive information security risk assessments and gap analyses for clients.
• Develop and present strategic security recommendations and roadmaps.
• Advise clients on implementing security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and GDPR.
• Assist clients with security policy development and implementation.
• Provide expert guidance on technical security controls and architectural design.
• Support clients during security audits and regulatory reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC) are highly valued.
• 5+ years of experience in information security , with a significant portion in consulting or advisory roles.
• Proven experience in risk assessment methodologies and security framework implementation.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements such as GDPR, PCI DSS, etc.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel to client sites as needed, alongside flexible hybrid working from our Cambridge office.
