Information Security Consultant

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Information Security Consultant to provide expert advice and solutions on a contractual basis, based out of their Bradford office. You will assess security risks, develop strategies, and implement measures to enhance the organization's security posture. This role requires a broad understanding of various security domains and the ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable business recommendations. You will engage with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring that security initiatives align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments and audits for IT systems and processes.
• Develop and recommend security policies, procedures, and best practices tailored to client needs.
• Assist in the implementation of security controls and technologies, providing technical guidance.
• Advise on compliance with relevant regulations such as GDPR and PCI DSS.
• Prepare detailed reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management.

Requirements

• Proven track record as an Information Security Consultant or in a similar advisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST CSF) and compliance standards.
• Experience with various security technologies including firewalls, encryption, and access management.
• Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
• Excellent client-facing and interpersonal communication abilities.
