Information Security Consultant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Information Security Consultant to provide expert advice and strategic guidance to their operations in Sunderland . In this role, you will assess security risks, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend practical solutions to enhance the organization's security posture. You will work closely with various departments to implement security best practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This consultancy position requires a proactive individual who can deliver high-impact security recommendations and support their implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive security audits and penetration tests.
• Develop and implement customized security strategies and roadmaps for clients.
• Advise on compliance requirements, including GDPR, ISO 27001, and other relevant regulations.
• Assist in the development and implementation of incident response plans and disaster recovery strategies.
• Provide training and awareness programs to client staff on security best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend security technologies and solutions to meet client needs.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Information Security Consultant or similar advisory role.
• Strong understanding of various security domains, including network, application, and cloud security.
• Expertise in risk assessment methodologies and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are highly preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
