About the Role

Our client requires an experienced Information Security Consultant to provide expert advice and guidance on a contract basis, based in Cambridge . You will be instrumental in assessing current security measures, identifying risks, and recommending strategic improvements to enhance the organisation's overall security posture. This role involves working across various departments to implement robust security solutions and ensure compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Extensive experience (7+ years) as an Information Security Consultant or in a similar advisory role.
• Proven track record in risk assessment, security architecture, and strategy development.
• In-depth knowledge of various security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST) and compliance requirements.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.
• Excellent client-facing communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are essential.
