Information Security Consultant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Information Security Consultant to provide expert advice and strategic guidance on a contract basis, working in a hybrid capacity from Leeds . You will assess existing security frameworks, identify potential risks, and recommend tailored solutions to enhance the overall security posture of the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of current cybersecurity threats, compliance regulations, and best practices, enabling you to deliver actionable insights and support the implementation of effective security measures for our client's diverse business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments and gap analyses across various business units.
• Develop strategic security roadmaps and recommendations aligned with business objectives.
• Advise on the implementation of security controls, policies, and procedures.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS).
• Evaluate and recommend security technologies and solutions.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management on security findings and proposed improvements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Information Security Consultant or similar senior role.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks, risk management, and compliance.
• Expertise in various security domains including network security, application security, and cloud security.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are highly advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
