Our client is seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Information Security Consultant for a contract role based in Edinburgh . This position involves providing expert advice and practical solutions to enhance the organization's cybersecurity resilience and compliance. You will work closely with various departments to assess risks, develop security strategies, and implement effective security controls. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments and identify vulnerabilities across IT infrastructure and business processes.
- Develop and recommend tailored security strategies and implementation roadmaps to address identified risks.
- Advise on compliance requirements, including GDPR, and assist in implementing necessary controls.
- Assist in the development and review of security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Support incident response activities and provide expert guidance during security investigations.
- Deliver security awareness training and best practice guidance to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience as an Information Security Consultant or in a similar advisory role.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management principles, and compliance regulations.
- Expertise in areas such as network security, cloud security, data protection, and vulnerability management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are highly advantageous.
