Information Security Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Information Security Manager to lead their security initiatives from their Milton Keynes office. This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of the organisation's overall information security program. You will manage a team of security professionals, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company data and systems. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background and proven leadership capabilities, dedicated to building and maintaining a robust security culture and infrastructure within a progressive organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the organisation's information security strategy and roadmap.
• Manage and mentor the information security team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Oversee the implementation and operation of security controls, policies, and procedures.
• Lead incident response activities and manage post-incident reviews and remediation efforts.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
• Liaise with senior management and stakeholders to communicate security risks and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline.
• Significant experience (e.g., 7+ years) in information security management and leadership roles.
• Proven track record in developing and implementing effective information security programs .
• Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and compliance.
• Experience in managing security operations, incident response, and disaster recovery.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
