Information Security Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Information Security Manager to lead their security initiatives in Newcastle upon Tyne . This leadership role is responsible for establishing and maintaining the enterprise information security strategy, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all information assets. You will manage a team of security professionals, oversee security operations, and drive compliance with relevant regulations. This is a critical position for a visionary leader who can build and nurture a strong security culture, protect the organization from evolving cyber threats, and align security objectives with business goals, working from our client's prominent Newcastle headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall information security strategy and roadmap.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the information security team, fostering a culture of high performance.
• Oversee the implementation and management of security controls, policies, and procedures.
• Manage the incident response process, including investigation, containment, and remediation of security breaches.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual security requirements.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to address identified vulnerabilities.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in information security , with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing enterprise-wide security programs.
• Strong understanding of risk management, security architecture, and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
