About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Information Security Manager to lead their security initiatives in Newcastle upon Tyne . Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the overall information security strategy and roadmap.
• Lead and mentor the information security team, overseeing daily operations and incident response.
• Manage the organization's security risk assessment process and implement appropriate controls.
• Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and industry standards.
• Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of security technologies and tools.
• Report on security posture and key performance indicators to senior management and the board.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in information security management, with a proven track record of leading security programs.
• Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and incident response.
• Experience in managing security teams and developing security policies and procedures.
• Strong knowledge of network security, application security, data privacy, and cloud security principles.
• Relevant advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are essential.
