Information Security Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Information Security Manager to lead their security initiatives in Cardiff . This leadership role is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the organization's overall information security strategy. You will manage a team of security professionals, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and champion security best practices across the entire business. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive information security strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Manage and mentor a team of information security analysts and engineers.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security controls and technologies.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR) and industry standards.
• Lead incident response planning and execution for security breaches.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and develop mitigation plans for identified vulnerabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years in a management or team lead role.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing security policies and procedures.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with security technologies such as SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners.
