About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Information Security Manager to lead their security initiatives in Belfast . This leadership role will involve developing, implementing, and overseeing the organisation's overall information security program, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and systems. You will manage a team of security professionals, set security policies, and collaborate with senior management to align security strategy with business objectives, fostering a culture of security awareness and robust protection against evolving cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive information security strategy and roadmap.
• Manage and mentor the information security team, providing guidance and oversight.
• Establish and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures across the organisation.
• Oversee risk management activities, including vulnerability assessments and threat modelling.
• Lead the response to security incidents, coordinating efforts and ensuring timely resolution.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Manage security budgets and vendor relationships effectively.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a management role within information security.
• In-depth knowledge of security best practices, frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001), and regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in developing and implementing security policies and procedures.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are required.
