About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Information Security Manager to lead their security initiatives from their offices in Milton Keynes . This leadership role is responsible for establishing and maintaining the organisation's information security program, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all data assets. You will manage risk, oversee security operations, and drive compliance with relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive information security strategy aligned with business objectives and risk appetite.
- Oversee the implementation and management of security controls, policies, and procedures across the organisation.
- Lead and manage the information security team, providing direction, mentorship, and performance evaluation.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, threat modelling, and compliance audits (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
- Manage security incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and remediation.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, on security matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience (6+ years) in information security management and leadership roles.
- Deep understanding of security frameworks, standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to manage security budgets, projects, and cross-functional teams effectively.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence senior management.
