About the Role
Our client is looking for a seasoned Information Security Manager to lead their security operations from their Oxford -based office. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive security strategies, managing the security team, and ensuring the protection of sensitive company data and systems. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of cybersecurity threats, risk management, and compliance. You will work closely with senior management to maintain a robust security posture and foster a culture of security awareness throughout the organisation, ensuring the physical and digital assets are protected.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the organisation's information security strategy, policies, and procedures.
- Lead, manage, and mentor the information security team, fostering professional development.
- Oversee risk management, vulnerability assessments, and incident response planning and execution.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS) and industry standards.
- Manage security awareness training programs for all employees.
- Collaborate with IT and business units to integrate security into all aspects of operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in information security management and leadership.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and best practices.
- Expertise in risk assessment, incident response, and vulnerability management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly preferred.
- Experience working within a secure, office-based environment.
