Information Security Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Information Security Manager to lead their security program. This is a fully remote position, offering a unique opportunity to shape and direct security initiatives from anywhere. You will be responsible for developing and executing the company's information security strategy, ensuring the protection of data and systems against evolving cyber threats. This role requires strong leadership, deep technical understanding, and the ability to effectively communicate security risks and requirements to stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the overall information security strategy and roadmap.
• Oversee the operation of security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and data loss prevention solutions.
• Lead and manage the information security team, providing guidance and fostering professional development.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
• Develop and execute incident response plans, leading the response to security breaches.
• Conduct regular security risk assessments, penetration tests, and vulnerability management programs.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior information security management role, ideally with team leadership responsibilities.
• Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and compliance.
• Expertise in security technologies, including SIEM, endpoint security, network security, and cloud security.
• Strong experience in developing and implementing security policies and procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are strongly preferred.
