Information Security Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Information Security Manager to lead their security operations from their offices in Coventry . This senior position involves overseeing the entire information security program, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organisation's data and systems. You will be responsible for developing and executing security strategies, managing a team of security professionals, and liaising with executive leadership on risk management and compliance. This is a crucial role for an individual passionate about building and maintaining a strong security posture in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the organisation's overall information security strategy and roadmap.
• Lead and mentor a team of information security analysts and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Oversee the management of security technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, and endpoint protection solutions.
• Establish and manage the incident response plan , leading investigations and coordinating recovery efforts during security events.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001) through regular audits and assessments.
• Manage security budgets and vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal service delivery.

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in information security management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven expertise in risk management, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and security architecture .
• Strong understanding of network security, cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), and application security.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are mandatory.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
