Information Security Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Information Security Manager to lead their security initiatives from their Coventry office. In this leadership position, you will be responsible for the overall strategy, implementation, and management of the company's information security program. You will build and mentor a high-performing security team, working closely with senior management to align security objectives with business goals. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of current cyber threats and regulatory landscapes, committed to fostering a culture of security awareness and resilience throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive information security strategy aligned with business objectives and risk tolerance.
• Oversee the management of security operations, including incident response, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management.
• Lead and mentor the information security team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR) and industry standards.
• Manage security budgets, vendor relationships, and the procurement of security technologies.
• Report on security posture and risk to executive leadership and the board of directors.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in information security , with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing enterprise-wide security programs and policies.
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management methodologies, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
