Information Security Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for a strategic and results-oriented Information Security Manager to lead their security initiatives in Leeds . This leadership position is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's information security program. You will manage a team of security professionals, set security policies, and ensure the protection of sensitive data and systems against cyber threats. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of technical knowledge, management experience, and strategic vision, enabling them to drive security excellence and foster a security-conscious culture throughout the company. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive information security strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the information security team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Oversee the implementation and operation of security controls, technologies, and processes.
• Manage security risk assessments, vulnerability management programs, and compliance initiatives.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for security-related matters and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure the organization's adherence to relevant legal, regulatory, and industry security standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in information security, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing security policies and procedures.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and threat landscapes.
• Proven ability to manage security budgets, projects, and teams effectively.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills essential for collaboration across Leeds .
