Information Security Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and strategic Information Security Manager to lead their security initiatives from Leeds . This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's overall information security program. You will be tasked with protecting sensitive data, managing security risks, and ensuring the company meets its compliance obligations. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the organization's information security strategy and roadmap.
• Lead and manage the information security team, providing guidance and professional development.
• Oversee the implementation and operation of security controls and technologies.
• Manage risk assessments , vulnerability management programs, and incident response activities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and industry standards.
• Liaise with executive management, internal audit, and external regulators on security matters.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
• Extensive knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices.
• Proven experience in managing security budgets, projects, and vendor relationships.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud security, and application security.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
