About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Installation Engineer to join their team based in Southampton . This role focuses on the precise installation, setup, and commissioning of complex mechanical systems for a variety of industrial and commercial clients. You will be responsible for ensuring that all installations are performed to the highest standards, meeting all technical specifications and safety regulations. This is a hands-on, client-facing position that requires a meticulous approach, strong technical acumen, and the ability to work effectively on-site, contributing to the successful deployment of critical infrastructure and machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and configure mechanical equipment and systems at client sites.
- Perform system testing and commissioning to ensure optimal functionality and performance.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to guide installation procedures.
- Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting for newly installed systems.
- Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to ensure project timelines are met.
- Conduct thorough site surveys to assess installation requirements and potential challenges.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Installation Engineer or in a similar technical installation role.
- Strong mechanical background with excellent understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and general machinery.
- Ability to read and understand complex technical diagrams and documentation.
- Skilled in using a variety of hand and power tools relevant to mechanical installation.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- A valid UK driving license is required for travel to client locations across the region.
