Installation Technician - HVAC

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Installation Technician with a specialization in HVAC systems to join their team in Belfast . This role is pivotal in ensuring the correct and efficient installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units for a variety of commercial and residential clients. You will work closely with project managers and clients to deliver high-quality installations, ensuring all systems meet performance standards and regulatory requirements. This position offers a blend of on-site work and potential for remote coordination, making it a dynamic role within the Installation & Maintenance sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission HVAC systems according to design specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
• Perform pre-installation inspections of sites to ensure readiness and identify any potential challenges.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose installation issues, implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate installation records, including progress reports and completion sign-offs.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Provide basic user training on the operation and maintenance of installed systems.

Requirements

• Proven experience in installing HVAC systems, including familiarity with various types of equipment.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, ductwork, and electrical controls for HVAC.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills for client interactions.
• Flexibility to work on-site across Belfast and surrounding areas, with potential for some hybrid remote communication.
