Instructional Designer - Blended Learning

About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and experienced Instructional Designer to specialize in Blended Learning environments. This role is key to crafting engaging and effective learning experiences that combine online and face-to-face methodologies. You will work closely with subject matter experts to develop comprehensive learning materials, assessments, and activities that cater to diverse learning styles. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to innovate within our Edinburgh -based institution, blending remote development with in-person collaboration to create impactful educational programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop engaging blended learning courses, incorporating both online and in-person components.
• Create high-quality instructional materials, including student guides, facilitator notes, and multimedia content.
• Develop effective assessments and evaluations to measure learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with faculty and stakeholders to define learning objectives and project requirements.
• Utilize instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to guide the development process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
• Proven experience in designing and developing blended learning programs.
• Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and LMS.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and pedagogical theories.
• Excellent project management, communication, and collaboration skills.
