About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and thorough Insurance Claims Investigator to join their dedicated team in Sheffield . In this vital role, you will be responsible for thoroughly investigating suspicious or complex insurance claims to determine their validity and uncover any potential fraud. You will conduct interviews, gather evidence, review documentation, and prepare detailed reports to support claims decisions. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining strict confidentiality and professionalism. You will be a key player in protecting the company from fraudulent activity and ensuring fair claim settlements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed investigations into insurance claims to ascertain their validity and identify any instances of fraud or misrepresentation.
• Interview claimants, witnesses, and other relevant parties to gather accurate information and evidence.
• Review policy documents, police reports, and other supporting evidence to build a comprehensive case.
• Analyze claim patterns and data to detect anomalies and potential fraudulent activities.
• Prepare comprehensive and concise investigation reports detailing findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Liaise with internal claims teams, legal departments, and external agencies as required during investigations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in claims investigation , fraud detection, or a related field, preferably within the insurance sector.
• Excellent interviewing, interrogation, and surveillance skills.
• Strong analytical, research, and critical thinking abilities.
• Exceptional report-writing skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain confidentiality.
