About the Role
Our client is seeking a vigilant and knowledgeable Insurance Compliance Officer to join their remote team, based remotely but ideally supporting operations related to Plymouth . This critical role ensures adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies within the insurance sector. You will be responsible for monitoring compliance activities, identifying potential risks, and implementing corrective actions to maintain the highest standards of governance. This position offers a vital function in safeguarding the company's reputation and operational integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret changes in insurance regulations and legislation, assessing their impact on company operations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
- Conduct internal audits and reviews to assess adherence to regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Investigate compliance breaches or concerns, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
- Provide compliance training and guidance to staff across various departments.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports as required by relevant authorities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices in insurance compliance and risk management.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an insurance compliance , regulatory, or audit role.
- Strong understanding of the UK insurance regulatory framework (e.g., FCA, PRA).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures.
- Effective communication and reporting skills, with the ability to explain complex requirements clearly.
- Experience with compliance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
