About the Role
Our client is looking for a thorough and diligent Insurance Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to all regulatory and legal requirements within their operations based in Liverpool . This critical role involves monitoring regulatory changes, developing and implementing compliance policies, and conducting internal audits to mitigate risk and maintain the highest standards of integrity. You will work collaboratively across departments, providing expert guidance on compliance matters and fostering a culture of regulatory awareness throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, interpret, and communicate changes in insurance regulations and legislation affecting the company's operations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust compliance policies, procedures, and controls across all business areas.
- Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance breaches and areas for improvement.
- Investigate compliance concerns and complaints, taking appropriate corrective actions and reporting findings.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance matters, promoting a strong culture of regulatory adherence.
- Liaise with external regulatory bodies and auditors, facilitating inspections and responding to inquiries.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a compliance or regulatory role, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
- In-depth knowledge of UK insurance regulations (e.g., FCA, PRA rules) and a commitment to staying current with changes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong report-writing and presentation abilities, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, managing multiple priorities effectively.
