About the Role
Our client is seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Insurance Policy Developer to join their product management team on a fully remote basis. This role is central to creating and refining the insurance products that form the core of our business. You will research market needs, analyze competitor offerings, and translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, concise, and competitive policy wordings and documentation. Working remotely, you will collaborate closely with actuaries, legal experts, and underwriting teams to design products that meet customer demands while ensuring profitability and compliance. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of insurance products from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new insurance policy wordings, terms, and conditions in line with market analysis and regulatory frameworks.
- Review and update existing policy documentation to reflect changes in legislation, market conditions, or business strategy.
- Collaborate with legal, actuarial, and underwriting departments to ensure product viability and compliance.
- Conduct market research to identify gaps and opportunities for new insurance products.
- Ensure policy language is clear, accurate, and easily understood by policyholders and internal staff.
- Contribute to product pricing strategies and risk appetite discussions.
Requirements
- Significant experience in insurance product development , policy wording, or a related technical insurance role.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance law, regulations, and compliance requirements within the UK market .
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong written communication skills, particularly in drafting legal or technical documents.
- Ability to work independently and manage complex projects in a remote work environment .
- A legal or insurance qualification (e.g., LLB, ACII) is highly advantageous.
