About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Insurance Risk Analyst to join their team in Oxford . You will play a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and managing potential risks across the company's insurance operations. This position involves developing and implementing risk management strategies, conducting risk assessments, and providing recommendations to mitigate exposure. Working in a hybrid capacity, you will collaborate with various departments to foster a strong risk-aware culture and protect the company's assets and reputation in the Oxford region.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, assess, and quantify potential risks across different business areas and insurance products.
- Develop and implement risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and analyze data to identify emerging risks and trends.
- Monitor and report on key risk indicators (KRIs) to senior management.
- Collaborate with departments to implement risk mitigation strategies and controls.
- Assist in the development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and regulatory changes related to risk management.
Requirements
- Experience in risk analysis or management, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and risk management principles.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Proficiency in risk management software and tools, as well as standard office applications.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field is preferred.
