About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and proactive Insurance Risk Analyst to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is essential for identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks that could impact the company's financial stability and operational efficiency. You will conduct in-depth risk assessments, develop risk management strategies, and provide key insights to senior management to inform strategic decision-making. Working from our Stoke-on-Trent office, you will be part of a dedicated team focused on safeguarding the company's assets and reputation within the complex insurance landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, assess, and monitor various risks across the insurance business, including market, credit, operational, and underwriting risks.
- Develop and implement risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to evaluate risk exposure and potential financial impact.
- Prepare comprehensive risk reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management and relevant committees.
- Collaborate with different departments to ensure risk management practices are integrated into business operations.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices in risk management.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Risk Analyst or in a similar risk management role, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector .
- Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies, financial modeling, and statistical analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Proficiency in risk management software and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python).
- Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating complex risk issues to diverse audiences.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., PRM, FRM) are a strong asset.
