About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Insurance Underwriter specializing in property risks to join their fully remote team. This position is crucial for assessing and accepting property insurance risks, ensuring the company's portfolio remains profitable and well-managed. You will leverage your expertise to analyze complex property exposures, determine appropriate pricing, and set terms and conditions for policies. Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and underwrite property insurance applications, assessing risks and determining coverage terms.
- Analyze property inspection reports, environmental surveys, and financial data to inform underwriting decisions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and agents, providing expert underwriting advice.
- Monitor the performance of the property insurance portfolio, identifying trends and potential issues.
- Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Contribute to the development of new property insurance products and strategies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Insurance Underwriter , with a strong focus on property insurance.
- In-depth knowledge of property construction, hazards, and risk assessment techniques.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
- Strong understanding of insurance contracts and legal/regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a demanding workload effectively in a remote setting .
