Key Responsibilities
- Analyze insurance applications to assess risks, considering factors such as applicant history, financial stability, and market conditions.

- Communicate underwriting decisions and rationale clearly to brokers, agents, and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with intermediaries, providing technical expertise and support.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks that may impact underwriting practices.
- Collaborate with the claims department to understand loss trends and inform underwriting strategies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Insurance Underwriter , preferably in commercial lines.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent understanding of insurance principles, risk management, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in underwriting software and standard business applications.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CII) are advantageous.
