Our client is looking for a skilled Insurance Underwriter to join their fully remote team, serving the Birmingham, West Midlands region. You will play a crucial part in the growth and stability of the insurance portfolio by making informed decisions based on detailed risk analysis. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze insurance applications, assessing risks and determining the insurability of applicants based on established guidelines.
- Calculate premiums and set policy terms and conditions to ensure profitability and competitive positioning.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and agents, providing underwriting expertise and support.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions that may impact underwriting decisions.

- Utilize underwriting software and tools to process applications and manage policy renewals efficiently.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance underwriting , preferably in commercial or personal lines.
- Solid understanding of risk assessment, financial analysis, and insurance principles.
- Excellent decision-making and negotiation skills.
- Strong proficiency in underwriting systems and data analysis tools.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a workload effectively in a remote setting .
