About the Role
Our client is seeking an ambitious Intellectual Property Solicitor to join their innovative legal team in Wolverhampton, West Midlands . This role focuses on advising clients across various sectors on the protection, exploitation, and enforcement of their intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and designs. You will work closely with clients to develop IP strategies and manage portfolios, operating in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on all aspects of intellectual property law , including registration, litigation, and commercialisation.
- Draft and negotiate IP-related agreements such as licenses, assignments, and confidentiality agreements.
- Manage trademark and patent portfolios for domestic and international clients.
- Represent clients in IP disputes, including infringement actions and passing-off claims.
- Conduct IP due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and investment deals.
- Provide strategic advice on brand protection and anti-counterfeiting measures.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years' experience specializing in intellectual property law .
- Qualified solicitor with experience in IP litigation and transactional work.
- Strong understanding of trademark, copyright, patent, and design law in the UK and ideally EU/international.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and commercial acumen.
- Experience with IP portfolio management software and legal research tools.
- Ability to build strong client relationships and provide commercially focused advice.
