About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Intellectual Property Solicitor to join their innovative legal team in Cambridge . This role offers the exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, from cutting-edge startups to established corporations, on complex IP matters, including patents, trademarks, and copyright. You will be at the forefront of advising on IP strategy, protection, and enforcement within a globally recognised hub for science and technology, contributing significantly to the firm's expertise in this specialised field.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on the registration, protection, and enforcement of patents, trademarks, designs, and copyright.
- Draft and negotiate IP-related agreements, including licensing, joint development, and collaboration agreements.
- Conduct IP due diligence for corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and investments.
- Manage IP disputes and litigation, representing clients in relevant proceedings.
- Provide strategic advice on IP portfolio management and commercialisation strategies for clients in Cambridge .
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a minimum of 5 years' experience in Intellectual Property Law .
- Proven expertise in patent, trademark, and copyright law, with experience in contentious and non-contentious matters.
- Strong understanding of IP commercialisation and transactional work.
- Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with clients in the technology and science sectors, based in or willing to commute to Cambridge .
