About the Role

Our client, a leading firm renowned for its innovation and expertise in Cambridge , is looking for a dedicated Intellectual Property Solicitor . This role involves advising a diverse client base, including cutting-edge tech companies and research institutions, on all aspects of IP law. You will handle matters related to patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, as well as advising on IP licensing and commercialisation strategies. We seek a solicitor with a passion for intellectual property and the ability to provide clear, strategic advice in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on the protection, enforcement, and commercialisation of their intellectual property rights.
• Draft and negotiate IP-related agreements, including licenses, collaborations, and assignments.
• Handle trademark oppositions, infringement claims, and domain name disputes.
• Conduct IP due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and investments.
• Stay current with IP law developments and provide insights to clients and the firm.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with a minimum of 4 years' experience in intellectual property law .
• Strong understanding of patent, trademark, copyright, and design rights.
• Experience advising technology-focused businesses and universities is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build strong client relationships and understand their commercial objectives.
