Inventory Control Specialist

About the Role

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory records at their facility in Cardiff . This role is critical for ensuring that stock levels are optimized, minimizing discrepancies, and supporting efficient warehouse operations. You will be responsible for conducting regular stock takes, investigating variances, and implementing measures to improve inventory accuracy and reduce waste. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks to ensure accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between system records and physical stock.
• Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
• Monitor stock levels and report on inventory ageing, slow-moving items, and potential overstock situations.
• Collaborate with warehouse and purchasing teams to manage stock rotation and replenishment.
• Utilize inventory management software to track stock movements and maintain data integrity.

Requirements

• Previous experience in inventory control, stock management, or a similar warehousing role.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data recording and analysis.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Excel.
• Ability to perform physical counts and lift moderate weights as required.
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
