Inventory Control Specialist

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join their dynamic team based in Cardiff . This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of inventory data, ensuring that stock levels are precise and align with system records. You will be responsible for monitoring stock movements, conducting regular cycle counts, and identifying discrepancies, playing a key role in optimizing warehouse efficiency and preventing stockouts or overstock situations. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a systematic approach to inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts to verify accuracy of inventory records.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and system data.
• Monitor stock levels and report on stock movement, including receipts, issues, and adjustments.
• Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize losses due to damage, obsolescence, or theft.
• Collaborate with warehouse and purchasing teams to ensure efficient stock rotation and manage returned goods.
• Generate reports on inventory accuracy, stock ageing, and other relevant metrics.

Requirements

• Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a similar role is essential.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of warehouse operations and inventory best practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
