About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and diligent Inventory Controller to manage and maintain accurate stock levels at their facility in Cambridge . This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity of inventory data, implementing effective control measures, and minimizing stock discrepancies. You will work closely with the warehouse team and management to support operational efficiency and supply chain accuracy. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a keen eye for detail to contribute to the smooth running of logistics operations in a key academic and technological hub.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of inventory control, ensuring accuracy and completeness of stock records.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to prevent loss, damage, or obsolescence of stock.
- Maintain the inventory management system (IMS) with up-to-date information on stock movements, receipts, and dispatches.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure efficient storage, handling, and tracking of inventory.
- Generate regular reports on inventory levels, stock turnover, and valuation for management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in inventory control , stock management, or a related warehouse role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles, methods, and best practices.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data entry.
- Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and safety standards is essential.
