Investment Banking Associate

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly motivated Investment Banking Associate to join their esteemed team in Birmingham . This role is critical in supporting the origination and execution of M&A, capital raising, and advisory transactions for a diverse client base. You will work closely with Directors and Managing Directors, playing a key role in deal analysis, client interaction, and the preparation of marketing materials, contributing to the firm's reputation for excellence in financial advisory services within the dynamic UK market.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of pitch books, CIMs (Confidential Information Memoranda), and other client marketing materials.
• Perform financial analysis, including valuation, LBO modeling, and accretion/dilution analysis.
• Conduct industry research and due diligence for potential transactions.
• Coordinate with clients and other advisors throughout the transaction process.
• Support the deal team in managing transaction execution timelines and deliverables.
• Mentor and guide junior analysts on the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related business field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or private equity.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with demonstrable financial modeling expertise.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a demanding environment.
