Investment Banking Associate

About the Role

Our client in Birmingham is seeking a highly motivated Investment Banking Associate to join their reputable firm. This role involves working on a variety of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic advisory services for a diverse client base within the financial services industry . You will play a key role in deal execution, financial modeling, client interaction, and the development of junior team members. Key Responsibilities

• Support deal teams in the execution of M&A transactions, debt and equity financings, and strategic advisory mandates.
• Develop and manage detailed financial models, including DCF, LBO, and accretion/dilution analysis.
• Prepare high-quality client-facing materials such as pitch books, presentations, and Confidential Information Memoranda (CIMs).
• Conduct extensive due diligence, industry research, and valuation analyses.
• Assist in client meetings, manage communication with various stakeholders, and support business development efforts.
• Mentor and train junior analysts within the deal team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or private equity.
• Demonstrated proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and transaction execution.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely in Birmingham .
