About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled IT Project Manager to lead technology-focused projects for their operations based in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, UK . This role is essential for the successful implementation of new software, systems, and IT infrastructure upgrades. You will work closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, meeting technical requirements and business objectives. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of IT projects, from initiation and planning through to execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation for IT initiatives.
• Oversee the work of project teams, including developers, engineers, and support staff.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
• Ensure effective communication and stakeholder management throughout the project duration.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an IT Project Manager , managing software development, infrastructure, or system implementation projects.
• Strong understanding of IT systems, software development lifecycles, and network infrastructure.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectively.
• Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA Project+, PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus.
