About the Role
Our client seeks a dynamic IT Project Manager to oversee the planning and execution of technology-focused projects in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role involves managing the full project lifecycle, from initial scoping and requirements gathering through to deployment and post-implementation review. You will collaborate closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The ideal candidate will thrive in a hybrid work environment, balancing remote work with necessary on-site collaboration, and possess a strong understanding of both technical challenges and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects , ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, identifying and mitigating risks.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including development, infrastructure, security, and business analysts.
- Liaise with stakeholders to define project requirements, provide regular updates, and manage expectations.
- Oversee vendor management and third-party relationships as required for project delivery.
- Ensure projects are delivered within the agreed quality standards and comply with relevant IT policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an IT Project Manager , managing software development and infrastructure projects.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Experience working in a hybrid work model, comfortable with both remote and in-office collaboration.
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
