IT Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and organized IT Project Manager to oversee technology-focused projects within their Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire operations. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth implementation and upgrade of IT systems, infrastructure, and software solutions. You will collaborate closely with IT specialists, vendors, and business departments to deliver projects that enhance operational efficiency and technological capabilities. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle for IT projects, from requirements gathering and planning through to implementation and post-launch support.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans , including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for IT initiatives.
• Coordinate with IT teams, including network engineers, system administrators, and software developers, to ensure successful project delivery.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks and dependencies throughout the project duration.
• Liaise effectively with stakeholders across various departments to communicate project progress, challenges, and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies, data privacy regulations, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management , with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and common IT systems.
• Proficiency in both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex technical challenges.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA Project+, PMP) are highly desirable.
