IT Support Engineer - 12-month contract - Cambridge
My Customer is looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer with strong knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365 and Endpoint Management . The successful candidate will be hands-on, customer-focused and confident troubleshooting complex technical issues.
Skills required from the IT Support Engineer:
- Strong Windows 10/11 support experience.
- Strong Microsoft 365 experience.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and SCCM/MECM .
- Strong endpoint management and software deployment experience.
- Hardware, desktop and peripheral troubleshooting.
- Active Directory / Group Policy experience.
- Experience working within an ITIL/service desk environment .
- Excellent customer service and communication skills .
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent prioritisation and time-management skills .
- Lab IT skills would be benefical
Key Responsibilities of the IT Support Engineer:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Windows, hardware, software and peripherals .
- Support and manage endpoints using Microsoft Intune and SCCM/MECM .
- Install, configure and maintain operating systems and software applications.
- Manage patching, software updates and device lifecycle management .
- Support hardware refreshes, new device deployments and equipment moves/adds/changes .
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues and work with Networking, Security and other IT teams where required.
- Manage incidents and service requests in line with agreed SLAs .
- Assist with asset management, inventory and CMDB accuracy .
- Support wider IT projects and technology initiatives.
- Work closely with users, IT teams, vendors and stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
The IT Support Engineer is required to be onsite, 5 days a week in Cambridge.
